Franken #9: Sparkly Auburn

Good Evening Ladies,

Today's post is short. I haven't been posting a lot lately even though I still create new frankens and take pictures of them. I have been so busy at work and the weather hasn't been all that great. It is -18 degrees outside and I just feel so tired and lazy :) This is today's Franken; a sparkly auburn color. It has multi-colored shimmers. I don't know if they show up in the pictures below. I decided to create a light box to improve the quality of my pictures. It would be my next project but the next few posts will probably not use the light box. A sweet lady from Makeup alley asked me if I would like to swap some of my frankens. I was so happy that someone thought they are beautiful and she hasn't even seen my box of frankens. I'll be sending her pictures :) Let me know what you think of this new color :)

Franken #8: Antiqued Mauve

Today is November 13th. I haven't been writing as much on the blog as I wish. A couple of days ago we saw the snow for the first time this season in the city where I live. It is a bit late compared to last year. It's been harder to find sun so I can take clear pictures of my frankens, can't do anything about the sun. See the picture of the first snow at the end :) I was thinking however to create some sort of good lighting indoors which can capture the beauty of these babies. I don't have a lot of experience with lighting, can anyone help? If you have suggestions about good lighting indoors let me know in the comments below :)

Anyhow, today's franken is a beautiful Mauve color with different colored shimmers. Sometimes it looks like an antiqued goldish color, sometimes it looks brownish and in some lights it is just a beautiful mauve. I fell in love with it the moment I put it on and I was happy to find that the formula turned out to be great unlike some other franken attempts. I used Seche Vite on top since I got bored from the Revlon top coat I used throughout the last couple of months. It started to become thicker and sometimes it causes bubbles. I will leave you now with my pretty franken Antiqued Mauve :) The pictures aren't that great so let me know if you have suggestions for indoor lighting. Also let me know what you think of the color in the comments below ;)

Franken #7: Sparkly Taupe :)

Hi there dear readers. This is yet another Franken day :) Does this look close to the one I posted last week? Well in pictures they are a bit close but in person they are very different. This is a beautiful greyish taupe color with silver flex. I just love this color and all dusty taupy greyish colors :)

Tell me what you think of this color. Would you love to wear it? What would you name it? Tell me in the comments below :)

Love to you :)

My Nails Today: L.A Girl Antique and Wet n Wild hannah pinktana

Hi there :) My nails today have Wet n Wild hannah pinktana layered on top of L.A Girl Antique. The combination looks nice and the holographic fine glitter in hannah pinktana really sparkles in the light. It was hard to capture in photos given the modest sun we see these days :( I can only take pictures on the weekends when I can be at home while it's sunny. What do you think of this combo?

This picture is blurred but do you see the holo shimmer?

Kleancolor Chunky Holos, Haul and Review

Hi there :) This post is a haul and review of some Chunky Holo colors from Kleancolor. I got these a few weeks ago from eBay after I saw some swatches of them online. The colors looked amazing in the swatches but I knew the formula and its smell were kind of annoying. I hesitated at first but I got them anyways. You can't resist such colors for so long :D

(L-R) Chunky Holo Bluebell, Chunky Holo Scarlet, Chunky Holo Black

Chunky Holo Bluebell: a blue jelly with these beautiful opal glitters. They reflect orange and green mainly. This color is best in layering. See how beautifully it was layered over black in my swatch below.

(L-R) Chunky Holo Bluebell, Chunky Holo Black, Chunky Holo Scarlet

Also see the layering swatches on ThePolishaholic.

Chunky Holo Scarlet: Red jelly base with glitters which reflect green and orange sometimes but mainly they are red. See also the swatches of this color in this post by nihrida.

Chunky Holo Black: This color is absolutely amazing. It has different sized hex opal glitter. They layer beautifully on black and other dark colors. The swatches below are over black.

You can find other layering swatches in this post by the-swatchaholic. These polishes are so cheap by the way (around $1.5 to $2 depending on where you get them). I could not find them in any stores near me in Canada so I had to get them from eBay and it was a good deal. They have some drawbacks, however. They smell awful and the consistency is rather thick. They take a long time to dry and if you don't dry them well before adding a top coat, they bubble.

What do you think about these colors?

Revlon Super Lustrous Cream Lip Glosses

Hi there my lovely readers :) Today I am sharing my love again for the Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Glosses. I have here two cream colors which are both so popular and so beautiful. The first color is Peach Petal which is a peachy nude cream. The second color is Lilac Pastelle which is a creamy liliac. You can expect an opaque color out of these. The formula is not sticky and it has no smell. I like them both so much.

What do you think of these glosses? Have you tried them?

Nail Art Experiments #2

It's been a long time since my last post. My nails are passing through a phase :( I had to cut them short because I keep breaking them. The other day I created a lot of cool new colors and I can't wait to show them to you. But today I have some of my early nail art experiments to show you. Will I ever have the patience to create these on my actual nails? I don't know. Also my nails are not long enough. I have to think about new designs which can work on shorter nails ;)

Now, I won't talk so much. I'll just let you enjoy the pictures :) Let me know what you think in the comments below...
